Terms of Service
1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of TarjimPro, including the Chrome browser extension and associated web services operated at tarjimpro.com (collectively, the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
TarjimPro is a Chrome extension that translates Arabic text selected on any web page into English. The Service uses artificial intelligence (via third-party AI providers) to produce translations, provides transliteration and linguistic notes, and allows users to save and review their translation history and build a personal vocabulary list.
3. Accounts and Registration
- You must create an account to use the Service. You may register with an email and password or via Google OAuth.
- You must provide accurate information when registering. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
- You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service.
- One person may not maintain multiple free accounts to circumvent the credit system.
- We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
4. Credits and Payment
- New accounts receive a number of free translation credits upon registration.
- Each successful translation consumes one credit, regardless of text length (up to the character limit).
- Additional credits may be purchased through the extension. All payments are processed by Stripe and are subject to Stripe's terms.
- Credits are non-refundable once consumed. Unused purchased credits may be refunded within 7 days of purchase if no more than 10% of the purchased credits have been used. Contact salam@tarjimpro.com to request a refund.
- We reserve the right to change credit pricing at any time with reasonable notice.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Translate content that is illegal, hateful, harassing, or violates the rights of others.
- Automate, scrape, or programmatically call the translation service beyond normal human-paced usage.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service for competitive purposes.
- Share your account credentials with others or resell access to the Service.
- Attempt to bypass the credit system or exploit the Service in a way not intended.
6. Translation Accuracy
Translations are generated by AI and are provided for informational and educational purposes only. TarjimPro makes no guarantees about the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of any translation for legal, medical, religious, or other professional purposes. Do not rely on TarjimPro translations for critical decisions without independent verification from a qualified human translator.
7. Intellectual Property
The TarjimPro extension, its design, branding, and underlying code are owned by TarjimPro and are protected by intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the extension for personal, non-commercial purposes.
You retain ownership of any content you input (the Arabic text you select on third-party pages). You grant TarjimPro a limited licence to process that content solely to provide the translation service to you.
8. Third-Party Services
The Service relies on third-party providers including OpenRouter, OpenAI, Google, Stripe, and Resend. TarjimPro is not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or policies of these third-party services. Your use of Google sign-in is subject to Google's Terms of Service.
9. Privacy
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
10. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, TARJIMPRO SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF, OR INABILITY TO USE, THE SERVICE.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING FROM THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 30 DAYS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
11. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time by contacting salam@tarjimpro.com. We may suspend or terminate your account immediately if we reasonably believe you are in breach of these Terms.
Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases. Unused credits are forfeited unless a refund is applicable under Section 4.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will provide at least 14 days' notice of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page and, where possible, by email. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation first, and if unresolved, through binding arbitration or the courts of the applicable jurisdiction.
